NIPA Top Club Competition – Rules
1. Entry is open to member clubs of the NIPA.
2. Each club will submit 8 monochrome prints, 8 colour prints and 8 slides.
3. The maximum mount size for prints will be 20” x 16”. Slides must be in standard 50mm square mounts.
4. No author may be represented by more than 3 entries in any one section.
5. Any entry or near duplicate which has previously been ‘starred’ in any NIPA Interclub competition is ineligible.
6. All work entered must be original in concept and the copyright of such work must be at the disposal of the entrant.
7. Photographers may only support one nominated club of which they must be bona fide members.
8. Prints must be labelled on the back with the title, author and club. Slides must be correctly spotted and must show the title, author and club.
9. At the judging, one image from each club will be shown sequentially until all the images have been judged. Images will be given a mark out of 20. Each club’s total score in this event will be added to their total score in the Interclub competitions to determine the overall Top Club in NIPA.
10. The highest scoring images from this competition (approx. the top 12) and the ‘starred’ entries from the Interclub competitions will then be judged to determine the Top Print and Slide for the year. Previously starred Interclub entries can be reprinted up to 20 x 16.
11. NIPA reserves the right to reproduce without fee any image in connection with the event with due acknowledgement to the author.
12. NIPA will copy and return as soon as possible those images which make up the Top Print and Slide Competition.
13. NIPA will not accept responsibility for damage or loss.
14. In any dispute, the decision of the NIPA will be final.
15. Entry to the competition confirms acceptance of these rules.
