PDI - Berlin Double Curve by Ray Magill (13.5 marks)
Bangor & North Down Camera Club
An unusual building. Good placement of the lamp. Soft light enhances the curves but I feel it needs a bit more contrast, the sky is good and dark but the buildings are shades of grey. Sue Sibley
The eyes are immediately drawn up through this image in parallel with the light on the tower to the soft clouds as they pass over the building. The clouds allow the eye to be held within the frame as a total black sky may not have been as effective.
I find the lamp post and the building on the left just lacking in light and as the building is a large part of the left side of the frame is does detract from the light on the tower. I feel the image is leaning slightly to the right as can be seen from the lamp post which can be corrected in post processing.
Overall the light on the towers is spectacular with that feel of metallic toning. - Matthew
