Covid-19, Coronavirus: Remaining NIPA Events Cancelled

In light of the current Coronavirus situation and the Government's advice to reduce social interaction, we have reluctantly decided to cancel or postpone all NIPA events and meetings for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

The details of the changes are as follows:

  • The scheduled adjudication evening for Interclub Round 5 at Dungannon on 25th March is cancelled. R5 has been judged, and the results, together with the overall results for the 2019/20 Interclub Competition and written comments by the judges on R5, will be made available online as soon as possible. We hope to have this available by early next week.

  • The NIPA Novice competition due to be held at Bangor on the 17th April is cancelled.

  • The NIPA AGM scheduled for 20th April will not go ahead. We will re-arrange the AGM for a later date when it is prudent to do so. All NIPA officers and committees will remain as is in the interim.

  • The Top Print & PDI event due to be held at Catchlight on the 6th May is cancelled. We already have all the entries for this competition and we hope to arrange to have this judged by an external judge at some later date when the situation improves.

  • The NIPA Council meeting scheduled for 11th May is cancelled.

  • It is currently our intention to run the NIPA 2020 exhibition as it is already scheduled into a number of venues through late 2020 and early 2021. It is likely, given the current situation, that the judging and opening night planned for late June/early July will need to be postponed to a later date. We will notify all clubs of arrangements for print drop off, on-line entry and closing dates as soon as these have been finalised.

Please stay safe in these uncertain times, and we look forward to seeing everyone again later in the year.
