COLOUR - BRIDGE TO NOWHERE by PAUL KILLEEN (15 marks)
CB Camera Club
I love the use of a slower shutter to soften and simplify this image. I’m not sure if you used a graduated filter on the sky but I feels unnaturally dark compared to the water, I would expect the sea to be darker. I also think the balance of the picture is a bit high, maybe either move to the left slightly so the walk way comes more from the corner of the frame this will also help us to be able to look through the bridge, if not crop a slice from the bottom as its not adding anything. The fabulous lighting, strong diagonal composition and long exposure combine here to create a very striking and beautiful mood. - Judith
