Roy Finlay Memorial Natural History Competition 2026

This annual competition has been running for over 25 years and is held in the Autumn / Winter of each year in memory of Roy Finlay, one of Northern Ireland’s best-known wildlife photographers.
The competition itself follows the FIAP rules for wildlife, (updated 2025) allowing minor adjustments but not digital manipulation of photographs. Entries must be of wildlife in its natural habitat, ie the faithful representation of the subject at the taking of the shot must be maintained.
Print (mono or colour) and PDI sections, £2 per Image, Max 10 entries per section
Closing date: Thursday 5th November
ALL digital files must be uploaded via your NIPA account and prints left at Wex Photo Video by the closing date,
or by arrangement with
Claire Gibson, Ards CC.
