The members of Westcourt Camera Club are pleased to extend an open invitation to NIPA club members to a presentation by Bradford based social documentary photographer John Bolloten.

The presentation marks the launch of a joint photographic exhibition between John Bolloten and Westcourt Camera Club for Homelessness Awareness Week 2019 and takes place at ArtCetera Studio on Thursday the 6thof December at 7.30pm.

John is particularly interested in documenting people and subcultures that exist on the margins of society. His book “Nothing To See Here” (2017) opened a window into Bradford’s gritty underbelly of drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and vice. He has continued to photograph within this community and published a second book in this series “Love Story” (2019) which gave a very intimate view into the lives of a drug-using couple. Other books include “Bradford Street” (2014), “Belgrade” (2015), “Shabash” (2016), and “Field of Broken Dreams” (2018).

John's photos have been published widely and his work has featured on book, CD and record covers. Selected images from Nothing To See Here and Love Story were exhibited at Hull International Photography Festival in October 2019 and he will exhibit Love Story at Photo North Festival in November 2019.

This is an open door free event - however the organisers welcome donations to support those impacted by Homelessness in our communities.
